Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be aged between 12 and 18 years at the time of application.
  • Passion for language, culture, and heritage.
  • Involvement in school projects, community activities, or cultural preservation efforts.
  • Ability to balance fellowship responsibilities with academic commitments.
  • Must be willing to do Ground work



What We Offer:

Personalized Mentorship: Fellows will be mentored by established experts in the field of language preservation, guiding them through their academic and project-based endeavors.

Travel to Bhojpur Region: Fellows will have the incredible opportunity to travel across 12 different cities, towns, and villages in the Bhojpur region during the summer for a one-month, all-expenses-paid trip. This experience will allow fellows to immerse themselves in the culture, engage with local communities, and directly contribute to language preservation efforts on the ground.

Expense Reimbursement: During their fieldwork, fellows will be reimbursed for any expenses incurred, ensuring that they can focus on their work without financial constraints.

Media Exposure: Special recognition through local and national media, highlighting the fellows’ work and achievements in the Bhojpuri language movement.

Networking with Leaders: Access to a network of youth leaders and experts committed to language preservation and cultural advancement.

  • A demonstrated commitment to advancing Bhojpuri through research, community-based projects, or advocacy efforts.

  • Ability to lead and manage larger-scale initiatives in line with the fellowship’s mission.
